Lewis T. Schweizer

Lewis T. Tracy Schweizer, age 86, of Pinckneyville, passed away Sunday morning, April 18, 2004 in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
Tracy was born October 9, 1917 in Camel Town, Ohio, the son of Albert H. and Miltrida (Forrester) Schweizer.  He was united in marriage to Pearl Holland on November 22, 1944 in Richmond, Ind. and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2002.  Tracy was retired after 42 years as a supervisor at Decca MCA Records in Pinckneyville.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville and was an avid fisherman and sports fan.
Tracy is survived by three sons, James A. Schweizer of Florida, Lewis T. Schweizer and wife Louise of Pinckneyville and Darrell G. Schweizer and wife Shirley of Swanwick; two daughters, Polly M. Zeigler and husband David of OFallon  and Cathy M Schweizer of Carbondale; two brothers, Marlon and Harry Schweizer, both of Richmond, Ind.; three sisters, Henrietta Horn of Richmond, Ind., Opal Wright of Fountain City, Ind. and June Rose Moorman of Greensfork, Ind.; seven  grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three  brothers and sisters in infancy; two brothers, Kenrick and Edgar Schweizer and one sister, Francis Butt.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, April 21 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville with Rev. Maurice Swinford officiating.  Interment was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery.
Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawod Funeral Home in Pinckneyville Tuesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. and again on the day of service from 8 until 9:30 a.m. then at the church from 10 a.m. until services.
Memorials may be made to the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Nursing  Scholarship Fund or the Mary Kuykendall-Carpenter Heart Fund.
